The CPYP summer youth musical does a musical production each summer, typically during three the weeks in July that follow the week with July 4th, with rehearsals after the normal summer camp time ends. The main musical accepts children aged 4-11, and we sometimes have an additional program for ages 12-17. No experience is necessary, there are no auditions for parts, most very large parts are split between performers so that more parts are available, and there are also plenty of chorus parts. The group focuses on community and kindness and does its best to make a safe space for a diversity of neurotypes and other abilities. In past years we have produced Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Shrek the Musical, and many others.
