The workshop is led by Brazilian samba master percussionist André Coelho from Rio de Janeiro. André will show and demonstrate how to play each of the essential Brazilian percussion instruments. Participants will learn basic rhythms and the event will finish with a jam session.
We will have some percussion instruments (pandeiros, tamborins, shakers, and surdos) for participants. But please bring your instrument(s) if you have one.
