Brazilian percussion workshop

EducArte is building a big batucada group and we want you to participate. Led by EducArte’s carioca drumming director André Coelho, you will learn and play in a supportive, creative environment. Instruments provided. We offer our Brazilian carnival dance and batucada workshops twice a month. Dance classes are donation-based and percussion rehearsals are $15/drop-in or $80 for the semester. Scholarship assistance available.

All levels are welcome to participate.

Prince George’s Community Room (#2523) in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on the University of Maryland campus. There is parking in Stadium Drive Garage and Lot 1 (free on Saturdays). The closest entrance to the Prince George’s Community Room is on Alumni Drive, right across the street from Stadium Drive Garage.
