Black History Month: Soul Line Dancing

In the clip featured below, Karen Stewart teaches “My Dream 2021,” a line dance she created for Black History Month.  Karen is a talented dancer and choreographer who is currently leading Soul Line Dancing for College Park Arts Exchange every Friday morning from 10 -11 am on Zoom. Karen teaches, choreographs, and serves as Administrator for Jessie’s Soul Line Dancers, a local line dance and community service group founded by Jessie Barnes in 1999.   “Mz Kys”, as she is known on YouTube, has a busy schedule teaching a number of different classes every week, some on Zoom and some (safely distanced) in person around the local area. We are looking forward to the resumption of  in-person instruction with Karen in College Park, either in an outdoor location when the weather permits, or, at the College Park Seniors Center when it eventually reopens.
