Pauline Oliveros' Tuning Meditation
Tuesday, August 15th at 7pm

Allison Hughes will lead a meditative singing event based on freeform breathing and singing, at the Old Parish House at 7 pm.

Anyone who attends can sing (or listen - that's ok, too!). Instructions are given at the beginning. There is no sheet music.

It is an amazing experience - the piece can be enjoyed on many levels. As a purely sonic exercise it is truly unique, but it can also be an opportunity for reflection, and creating musical beauty and connection with the other participants. An event not to be missed!

Free - donations to the Arts Exchange gratefully accepted.

The College Park Homeschooling Arts Club will be starting its fourth year on September 6, 2017. We are a small community of homeschoolers who do arts activities and have social time every Wednesday afternoon, with playground/sports time afterwards. Activities include things like visual arts, fiber arts, culinary arts, drama, outdoor games, mathematical art, and writing, with different "classes" organized each session. Some activities are mixed-age and some are split by age/interest. Parents attend with their children, ages 4-13, plus some little siblings. We have an emphasis on community-building and support for parents and children. There is a small fee to participate. Anyone with questions or who is interested in visiting or joining should contact Laura at LauraL88@yahoo.com.
