CPAE is very pleased to host Yoga classes with Geneva Moss. Check calendar for details about time and location. CPAE is grateful to the City of College Park for the use of Council Chambers, 4500 Knox Road, and to White Lotus Wellness Center, 4912 Berwyn Rd, College Park, MD 20740.

Yoga meets from 8:15-9:15pm on Thursdays. Bring your own mat and any props you like to use and make Thursday night all about taking care of you. There is a $12.00 drop in fee. Thursday night yoga will have a focus on poses and movement to help relieve stress and tensions from the week, rejuvenate the mind, body and energy and restoratives to nourish a good night's sleep.

Parking permits are available, as well as waivers that need completing prior to starting the class. The class will aim to cater to mixed ability levels for adults age 16 and up.

The Monday morning class is not meeting at this time, but please let us know if you are interested.

You may also know Mr. Fominaya from his work with Greenbelt Creative Kids Camp, Prince George's Teen Theatre, and the University Park Elementary School music program; he now teaches at Laurel High School. The Youth Choir invites all children aged 5 and up to learn about singing and performing. Two ensembles, the Primary Choir and Vocetti, help students learn at different levels. Primary Choir focuses on choral skills and musicianship, while Vocetti moves on to advanced part singing. The Choirs perform several times a year around College Park, and rehearse at College Park United Methodist Church on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8: 30 pm. Tuition per semester is $85; scholarships are available.

First meeting of fall semester is the day after Labor Day.
First meeting of spring semester is January 31, 2017.

Seniors 50 and over are invited to display their art at St. Andrew's on the evening of Friday, May 12, 2017.
Please fill out our Call for Artists application (below) by April 10 in order to display your artwork.
This exhibit has been supported by a 2016 grant from the College Park Community Foundation.

Return the application below by email to info@cpae.org, or by mail to College Park Arts Exchange, PO Box 784, College Park MD 20741. Artists are invited to show their work on a first-come basis (not juried). Two or three-dimensional work, including paintings, photographs, pottery and sculpture, textiles, needle and fabric art, will all be accepted. Artists are asked to reserve an easel or table space for their display; table top easels and standing floor easels will be acquired as needed. The Art Exhibit will bring Seniors together to celebrate their arts and to build a more robust and lively community in College Park.

Join the College Park Chorale and the College Park Chamber Singers as they present “Beyond Borders: Voices of Immigrants in Story and Music” on Friday, May 19, 7 p.m. at University of Maryland’s Memorial Chapel. The program will feature songs and stories that honor and celebrate the diverse experiences of our nation of immigrants.

We are pleased to welcome local non-profit organization CASA to this concert and to be able to highlight the work they do in support of immigrant families in our area. The concert will feature speakers sharing their immigrant experience,
as well as music from around the world that explores the idea of home and belonging. The choirs will present music by
Uzee Brown, Jr., John Rutter, Steven Hatfield and Alojz Srebotnjak among others.

Admission is free, and donations to the College Park Arts Exchange and CASA will be accepted.
