We perform a wide variety of chorale music at two concerts per year, as well as in local community events. All voice parts and levels of experience are welcome - no audition required.

The College Park Youth Choir is led by our talented and energetic director, Christopher Fominaya. You may also know Mr. Fominaya from his work with Greenbelt Creative Kids Camp, Prince George's Teen Theatre, and the University Park Elementary School music program; he now teaches at Laurel High School. The Youth Choir invites all children aged 5 and up to learn about singing and performing. Two ensembles, the Primary Choir and Vocetti, help students learn at different levels. Primary Choir focuses on choral skills and musicianship, while Vocetti moves on to advanced part singing. The Choirs perform several times a year around College Park, and rehearse at College Park United Methodist Church on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8: 30 pm. Tuition per semester is $85; scholarships are available.

First meeting of fall semester is the day after Labor Day.
First meeting of spring semester is January 31, 2017.

CPAE is very pleased to host Yoga classes with Geneva Moss. Check calendar for details about time and location. CPAE is grateful to the City of College Park for the use of Council Chambers, 4500 Knox Road, and to White Lotus Wellness Center, 4912 Berwyn Rd, College Park, MD 20740.

Yoga meets from 8:15-9:15pm on Thursdays. Bring your own mat and any props you like to use and make Thursday night all about taking care of you. There is a $12.00 drop in fee. Thursday night yoga will have a focus on poses and movement to help relieve stress and tensions from the week, rejuvenate the mind, body and energy and restoratives to nourish a good night's sleep.

Parking permits are available, as well as waivers that need completing prior to starting the class. The class will aim to cater to mixed ability levels for adults age 16 and up.

The Monday morning class is not meeting at this time, but please let us know if you are interested.

Transform and polish your personal stories into works of performance art! Storyteller Cathy Smith has told stories on numerous stages around the DMV, including at Story District, Perfect Liar's Club and Better Said Than Done, among others.

Don’t miss the College Park Youth Orchestra’s Winter Concert this Sunday evening, when the College Park Chorale and Chamber Singers will join the Youth Orchestra’s Chamber Ensemble in performing Vivaldi’s “Gloria.”

The orchestra's program will also include classical works by Marc-Antoine Charpentier and César Franck, themes from John Williams’ score for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Alan Menken’s score for Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” and works by Claude Debussy and George Gershwin.

Primary Choir focuses on choral skills and musicianship, while Vocetti moves on to advanced part singing. The Choirs perform several times a year around College Park, and rehearse at College Park United Methodist Church on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8: 30 pm. Tuition per semester is $85; scholarships are available.

First meeting of fall semester is the day after Labor Day.
First meeting of spring semester is January 31, 2017.

Council Member Glaros is hosting her District 3 STEAM Day at the College Park Aviation Museum on April 9th at 2pm – 4pm.
This event is designed to expose students and parents to what STEAM programs have to offer in the County. CPAE is hosting a paper airplane table for this event.

The College Park Chorale is a fun, low key community choir of about 50 members. We meet weekly on Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm at the St. Andrew's church in College Park, under the direction of Allison Hughes. We perform a wide variety of chorale music at two concerts per year, as well as in local community events. All voice parts and levels of experience are welcome - no audition required.

Seniors 50 and over are invited to display their art at our Seniors Art Show, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 4512 College Avenue, Show and Reception Friday, May 12, from 4 - 8 pm.
Please fill out our Call for Artists application (below) by April 10 in order to display your artwork.
This exhibit has been supported by a 2016 grant from the College Park Community Foundation.

Return the application below by email to info@cpae.org, or by mail to College Park Arts Exchange, PO Box 784, College Park MD 20741. Artists are invited to show their work on a first-come basis (not juried). Two or three-dimensional work, including paintings, photographs, pottery and sculpture, textiles, needle and fabric art, will all be accepted. Artists are asked to reserve an easel or table space for their display; table top easels and standing floor easels will be acquired as needed. The Art Exhibit will bring Seniors together to celebrate their arts and to build a more robust and lively community in College Park.

CPAE is very pleased to host Yoga classes with Geneva Moss. Check calendar for details about time and location. CPAE is grateful to the City of College Park for the use of Council Chambers, 4500 Knox Road, and to White Lotus Wellness Center, 4912 Berwyn Rd, College Park, MD 20740.

Yoga meets from 8:15-9:15pm on Thursdays. Bring your own mat and any props you like to use and make Thursday night all about taking care of you. There is a $12.00 drop in fee. Thursday night yoga will have a focus on poses and movement to help relieve stress and tensions from the week, rejuvenate the mind, body and energy and restoratives to nourish a good night's sleep.

Parking permits are available, as well as waivers that need completing prior to starting the class. The class will aim to cater to mixed ability levels for adults age 16 and up.

The Monday morning class is not meeting at this time, but please let us know if you are interested.
