There will be activities at the Old Parish House between noon – 4pm.

There will also be a Porchfest that same day!

– The Dead End, at the intersection of Albion and RI Ave, right on the trail. Music from 11-3
– The Calvert Road Green at the corner of Rhode Island and Knox. Music from 12-4

11am – Open Mic

12 noonAllison Hughes  Acoustic covers and originals by Allison and friends.   Allison has lived, taught and performed in College Park for 19 years.  She directs and College Park Chorale and is a member of local bands Paint Branch Creek and Laundry World.  AllisonSings.com

1pm Kampfire Karaoke Singalong with Rumi! Sing fun songs by The Beatles, Indigo Girls, and more, with a digital songbook!  Rumi will bring her acoustic guitar, you bring your voice and your smartphone!

2pmThe Overthinkers acoustic trio — Amy Moffitt (vocals, uke), Chuck Rainville (bass), Mike Carlowicz (guitar, vocals) — playing covers of Americana rock, folk, indie, and deep-cut country. We sing lyrics that make you think, but not too much.

 

Calvert Road Green

12 noon  – ZooKulele Collective & Dave are a local string group predominated by ukulele highlighted with a splash of kazoo (& Dave on guitar!). An upbeat ensemble covering a range of high energy tunes across a wide range of genres. Fun for everyone, come dance and sing along.

1 pm – Kristin Rebecca defines the term modern folk. With a background in classical voice, lever harp and folk guitar Kristin combines elements from each field to forge a new sound in a traditional genre. http://www.kristinrebecca.com

3pmMike Hummel is a prolific songwriter whose “fresh sixties” sound combines the melody and wit of the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel, the commentary of Pete Seeger, and the passion of early Cat Stevens.  Check out a sample of Mike’s original music here: Little Miracle

1pm – Eric Maring, known to his young students and families as “Mr. M”, is an early childhood music specialist, a music therapist, a performing songwriter, and a multi-instrumentalist.  https://www.maringmusic.com

2pm – Dom Elliott plays a mix of acoustic-pop originals and covers as well as electro-pop instrumentals using a loop station. Dom has been playing music in the DMV for over 25 years in bands and as a soloist.   Instagram: @domelliottmusic,  YouTube: DC Music Docs

Laundry World + Chorale Trolley Trail Day Wrap Party!! Close out Trolley Trail Day with live music at XXX.  Local band “Laundry World” will be joined by the College Park Chorale for a special ‘one night only’ concert of iconic hits.  All killer, no filler, plus rockin’ choir parts.  

Laundry World is a rock and indie cover band based in College Park, named after the Route 1 landmark laundromat of the same name. Since 2017, the band has enjoyed entertaining local friends and crowds at previous Trolley Trail Days, local Porchfests, at College Park Day, and at the inaugural Friday Night Live! concert at College Park‘s City Hall Plaza. From rock to country to funk, you never know what you’re gonna get but you know it’s gonna be fun. 

 The College Park Chorale is a community choir performing a wide variety of choral music at concerts and community events in the College Park area.  The focus of the group is to welcome all who wish to sing and to create community through music.  Chorale Is a program of the College Park Arts Exchange.  CollegeParkChorale.org
