Hope Lutheran Church, 4201 Guilford Drive, College Park View mapOn Friday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m., movies@hope proudly presents the recently released documentary John Lewis: Good Trouble. From bold teenager on the frontlines of the civll rights movement of the 1960s to legislative powerhouse and elder stateman, this American icon has left an indelible mark on our country. Don’t miss this celebration of his life and legacy.
Weather permitting, we will be showing the film outside on the lawn at Hope Lutheran Church, 4201 Guilford Drive, College Park — wearing masks and practicing social distancing. For that reason, outside spaces are limited, so you must make a reservation with me in advance to claim one of the individual/family spaces. Spaces will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Due to Covid-19, masks must be worn throughout the evening and there will be no refreshments. Weather permitting, the film will be shown both on Zoom and to a limited audience at Hope. Reserve your space for the in-person showing or request the Zoom link by emailing prthomps1 @ verizon.net!
If cancellation of the in-person showing is necessary due to inclement weather, we will notify those who reserved a space by email earlier in the day on Friday.
In person and socially distanced OR on Zoom, we’re excited about another season of good films and stimulating post-film discussions — including a coordinated joint discussion this time among our on site and on line guests!
Whether you’re eager to get out among friends and neighbors, or just as glad to watch at home, we hope you can join us, and please consider inviting a friend or neighbor!
