College Park Arts Exchange welcomes you to an exciting Trolley Trail Day 2024! 

Fun at the Old Parish House will include button making, coloring, and making a folded paper journal.  At the Green, find fabric flags to color any way you like, plus bubbles and sidewalk chalk murals.  Live Music Galore at the Old Parish House, the Dead End, and the Corner Green.  

Plus, look for Rock Painting and Soul Line Dancing in Lakeland!

Porchfest at the Dead End! (11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

Location: 6705 Rhode Island Avenue, College Park, MD 20740

Between Riverdale Park and Old Parish House, stop by for a Porchfest featuring local artists.

11:00 a.m. Allison Hughes Acoustic covers and originals by Allison and friends.   Allison has lived, taught and performed in College Park for 19 years.  She directs College Park Chorale and is a member of local bands Paint Branch Creek and Laundry World.  AllisonSings.com

12:00 p.m. Kampfire Karaoke Singalong with Rumi! Sing fun songs by The Beatles, Indigo Girls, and more, with a digital songbook!  Rumi will bring her acoustic guitar, you bring your voice and your smartphone!

1:00 p.m. Open Mic! Sign up starts at 1:00pm!

2:00 p.m. The Overthinkers! An acoustic trio — Amy Moffitt (vocals, uke), Chuck Rainville (bass), Mike Carlowicz (guitar, vocals) — playing covers of Americana rock, folk, indie, and deep-cut country. We sing lyrics that make you think, but not too much.

 

Old Parish House in College Park (12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

 Relax and recharge with the College Park City-University Partnership and the College Park Arts Exchange on Old House Parish Green!  Bring your blankets + chairs and meet your neighbors at the Corner Green (Corner of Rhode Island and Calvert) from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for live acoustic music from Mike HummelJoshica AcousticKristin Rebecca, ZooKulele Collective & Dave. 

At the Old Parish House, there will be music throughout the afternoon with Miles Spicer kicking things off at 12:00 p.m., Eric Maring AKA Mr. M, Dom Elliot, and Janine Wilson wrapping things up. Resource tables include College Park AcademyCollege Park BicyclesDistrict 3 County Councilmember Eric OlsonRISE Investment Partners, samples from Marathon Deli and Rita’s Italian Ice! 

 

Laundry World + Chorale Trolley Trail Day Wrap Party!! June 8th, 2024 5-8pm, College Park Aviation Museum, 1985 Corporal Frank Scott Dr, College Park, MD 

Close out Trolley Trail Day at a ‘Night at the Museum’!  with live music and food/beverage trucks at the College Park Aviation Museum! Local band “Laundry World” will be joined by the College Park Chorale for a special ‘one night only’ concert of iconic hits. All killer, no filler, plus rockin’ choir parts. 

Laundry World is a rock and indie cover band based in College Park, named after the Route 1 landmark laundromat of the same name. Since 2017, the band has enjoyed entertaining local friends and crowds at previous Trolley Trail Days, local Porchfests, at College Park Day, and at the inaugural Friday Night Live! concert at College Park‘s City Hall Plaza. From rock to country to funk, you never know what you’re gonna get but you know it’s gonna be fun. 

The College Park Chorale is a community choir performing a wide variety of choral music at concerts and community events in the College Park area.
