June 30×30 Art Month!

For the 30 days of June, CPAE is encouraging you to try to do an artwork each day. The artwork can be anything from a photo, haiku, crochet square, or sketch, to a finished painting, or whatever your creativity suggests. We are hoping to celebrate the project with a popup exhibit at the Old Parish House on Saturday, July 12. Also, you can send photos of your artwork to info@cpae.org and we will post them in the gallery on this page and also on social media.

In the gallery so far are a couple of Melissa’s first pieces for June 30 x 30.
June 1: At Natural Bridge, in Virginia, a beautiful stream cascaded down the hill, with minnows hiding in the shadowed pools. Pencil sketch with Watercolor, and gold pencil for the minnows.
June 2: a color pencil impression of Sweetgrass, trying to catch the gold/green sheen of the braid, and the warm rich scent emanating out from it.
